MS SQL Developer – Bucharest

We are looking for a MS SQL Developer to join our team in Bucharest.

What we expect from you

Skills & Experience

T-SQL in all its forms (DML, DDL, TCL). You should be able to write structured, logical, and readable code, considering existing coding standards.
You must understand transaction isolation levels.
You should be able to read query execution plans (at least you must understand most common iterators).
Have some query optimization skills.
You should be familiar with SSDT development and deployment.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with database team-based development.
University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related Engineering fields.
Good spoken and written English.

Would be an advantage

Good experience in heavy loaded OLTP systems development.
C# at the basic or middle level (in the part that can be applied on the SQL server side).
Knowledge from subject areas related to finance (banks, insurance, accounting, etc.).
Some testing experience (at least you should know what unit tests are and what they are needed for).
Practical experience with SSIS (or good understanding of this tool).
Practical experience with Service Broker (or it’s good understanding).
Experience with SQL Azure databases, (SQL Azure migration, Azure monitor, Azure SQL Analytics, Azure SQL Insights)

Key responsibilities

Core-banking system development participation (database level, MS SQL Server).
Regional offices support during implementation period.

Bucharest Office

From our Bucharest office, we ensure technical assistance and support IT projects, for different departments, such as Cloud and Infrastructure, DevOps or Applications Departments.

Development: SSDT + Git/VSTS in Azure DevOps (tasks, wiki, pipelines).
Solution works on SQL Server 2016+ enterprise edition on premise in AlwaysON environment.
Time to time we participate in data migration projects (really rare and specific tasks) – we use SSIS.
Business trips around the Europe (mostly Frankfurt-am-Main DE, Belgrade SR, Skopje MK, but other PCG countries also can be visited), usually one week or two, once per 2-3 months or less.
