We are looking for an Agile and Application Specialist to join our Site Reliability Engineering team in Bucharest.

The Agile and Application Specialist will play a key role in deploying, configuring, and supporting Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for infrastructure and application support including creation, configuration, support and automation, CI/CD pipeline implementation, proactive system monitoring, incident management, and security enforcement. This role requires expertise in Azure services, cloud resource provisioning, system optimization, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of cloud-based applications.

  • Overall 3+ years of application support, engineering, or development experiences.

  • Good understanding of Cloud computing (public, private, hybrid), Cloud resources management (Azure), Cluster management and scalability, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git repositories, Chaos Engineering.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, Windows OS, Microsoft SQL Server tools and T-SQL programming.

  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates

  • Containerization Technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, Windows OS, Microsoft SQL Server tools and T-SQL programming.

  • Basic knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing etc

  • Self-starter, well organized and motivated. Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Desire to learn and develop skills further. Responsible and reliable. Able to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement

  • Open and friendly personality with an ability to interact with people on different hierarchal and technical levels 

  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written

  • Good understanding of banking business processes will be an advantage

  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and working with a ticket management solution is preferable. Microsoft certifications will be an advantage

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is an advantage

  • University Degree or equivalent (Computer Science, Engineering or Business IT studies would be a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configuration and support of Azure Cloud Environments (Web Services/ AKS/ ServiceFabric/ Synapse/ etc)

  • Provision and manage infrastructure resources in the cloud using tools like Azure Resource Manager templates or Terraform.

  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

  • Establish systems to monitor performance issues or errors in applications proactively.

  • Implement security measures while adhering to industry norms and laws.

  • Incident management and preventing incidents, managing infrastructure, building effective monitoring systems, and ensuring computer systems' smooth operation (through code).

  • Test, Change and Deployment management of new releases.

  • Design and implement technical functionality parameterization in the customer facing and backoffice system.

  • Define, document, execute, and optimize processes to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplift.

  • Set up and maintain test, staging and production environments and support on testing cycle, involving with 3rd party vendors.

  • Manage tasks of the projects and requests on different platforms (Azure DevOps, MSP).

  • Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.

  • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning. Provide demos and trainings to the users/involved teams.

  • Working on-call shift to prevent incidents from ever happening.

  • End user support.

From our Bucharest office, we ensure technical assistance and support IT projects, for different departments, such as Cloud and Infrastructure, DevOps or Applications Departments.
