Multi-Currency Cards

Multi-currency cards are multi-account cards linked to accounts maintained in different currencies. As with standard multi-account cards, multi-currency cards can be used on the cardholder’s bank’s ATMs to draw on more than one account. But in contrast to the standard multi-account card, the linked accounts do not have to be maintained in the same currency. For example, if a cardholder has a primary account denominated in EUR and another account denominated in USD, he/she can use the same card to withdraw funds from both of these accounts. The dollar amount withdrawn from the USD account is automatically converted to the primary account currency (in this case, EUR) based on the exchange rates set by the bank for the particular business day.
