  • Experience in compliance, risk or audit, preferably in a technology environment
  • Experience in working with geographically distributed and remote team members
  • University degree in Law, Risk Management, Compliance, Computer Science, or a related field
Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to transpose regulatory requirements into the processes and internal frameworks
  • Sound knowledge of compliance risk management, data protection and corporate governance
  • Sound knowledge of German and EU regulatory requirements applicable to fintech
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written German and English
Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Quipu complies with the applicable regulatory requirements
  • Managing the compliance (including data protection) risks, reputational risks, and conflicts of interest risks, and advising the internal stakeholders on their prevention and actions to be performed to mitigate or avoid those risks
  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of the annual compliance plans
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the legislative and non-legislative acts applicable to the company (both EU and German);

Quipu's Head Office was established from the beginning in Frankfurt, while other regional offices were set up in Eastern Europe, Africa and South America, to better serve a global market.

  • Ensuring that Quipu complies with the applicable regulatory requirements
  • Managing the compliance (including data protection) risks, reputational risks, and conflicts of interest risks, and advising the internal stakeholders on their prevention and actions to be performed to mitigate or avoid those risks
  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of the annual compliance plans
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the legislative and non-legislative acts applicable to the company (both EU and German)
  • Detecting, analyzing, assessing, documenting, and reporting the compliance risks, as well as proposing measures for their mitigation and follow-up on their implementation
  • Advise internal stakeholders on the sound compliance, data protection, and corporate governance practices to be applied across the Company
  • Develop and keep up to date the internal normative framework regulating the activity and responsibilities of the Compliance Team
  • Raising awareness and compliance culture within the Company
  • Delivering training to company staff on compliance-related topics
