Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

For our office in Frankfurt, Germany, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (m/f) (Job-ID: 19009) to join our international team at the earliest possible date.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed team to build cutting-edge, resilient, secure and compliant virtual infrastructure services in public and private cloud
  • Migration of existing physical and virtual workloads, data archiving, backup and recovery to the cloud
  • Facilitate and maintain deployment pipelines of infrastructure as a code (IaC) and resource management in cloud
  • Validate components of infrastructure to ensure they align with the desired state and document the outcome
  • Participate in architectural discussions to plan, test and deploy secure container-based platform to host applications and assist in migration of existing applications to container platform
  • Effectively administer and monitor capacity utilization of resources on cloud and prepare cost optimization strategies
  • Available for tier 3 on-call support on a rotation basis and take over the duties as assigned

Requirements & attributes:

  • Proven expertise and hands on experience with public Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and Infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Hands on experience with Docker containers and orchestration platform preferably Kubernetes
  • Experience with configuration Management tools like Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Powershell/salt
  • Proficiency in programming with C#.NET and familiarity with at least two scripting language or interfaces like Bash, PowerShell, Python, Azure/AWS CLI
  • Good working knowledge of infrastructure testing, compliance and security as a code with InSpec
  • Experience working in Agile development environment
  • Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts and unstructured data management
  • Open and friendly personality with an ability to interact with people on different hierarchal and technical levels
  • Well-organised person who can multitask, work independently or as part of a team and has the ability to prioritise work under pressure
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written (German language skills are a strong advantage)
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and working with a ticket management solution is preferable. Certifications will be an advantage
  • A degree in an IT-related field is preferable
