Automation Engineer

For our office in Frankfurt, Germany, we are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Automation Engineer (m/f) (Job-ID: 19008) to join our international team at the earliest possible date.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with engineering teams, understanding the objectives of the user stories and providing solutions through software automation
  • Writing clean and scalable code primarily using .NET programming languages by following principles of software development cycle
  • Providing end-user support including testing, deployment, maintenance of the applications and to revise, update, refactor and debug existing code
  • Rapid delivery of end-user capabilities by leveraging DevOps expertise and practices like CI/CD, Test Automation, Build Automation and Test-Driven Deployment
  • Using tools to cleanse and transform data from different source for various reporting purposes
  • Taking ownership of the project assigned and provide updates on the milestones achieved
  • Applying documentation best practices by maintaining team workflows/wiki pages

Requirements & attributes:

  • Highly proficient in C#, ASP.NET development and experience with Python a plus
  • Experience with Ajax, JQuery, JSON, AngularJS, XSLT, CSS, HTML5
  • Experience with Web API \ Web Services (SOAP or RESTful)
  • Experience with Version Control and GitHub
  • Expert knowledge in MS SQL Development (SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge on developing MS business intelligence and / or data warehousing solutions
  • Strong skills for programming/software development using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) using SSIS
  • Good understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Open and friendly personality with an ability to interact with people on different hierarchal and technical levels
  • Well-organised person who can multitask, work independently or as part of a team and has the ability to prioritise work under pressure
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written (German language skills are a strong advantage)
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and working with a ticket management solution is preferable, Microsoft certifications will be an advantage
  • A degree in an IT-related field is preferable
